The Stamps are a Walyalup/Fremantle trio-Sofia Hourani, Rubina Bertolini and ScarlettGraham-making coming-of-age indie pop that is equal parts grit and glow. Built on the rawchemistry of three best friends, their songs turnlate-night feelings and half-broken momentsinto something urgent, melodic and impossible to ignore.
Formed on the coast and sharpened on small stages, The Stamps write constantly and record often. They are prolific by design. Demos become songs, songs become sets, and the sets evolve from week to week as the band chases what feels alive in the room. That energy fuelstheir self-produced debut album In All the Ways I Am (released earlier in 2025). The record captures the small images and moments that add upto identity. It is intimate, hooky and unvarnished, the sound of a friendship turning into a voice.
On record and on stage, The Stamps sit somewhere between the euphoric shimmer of MUNA and the scrappy cool of Royel Otis. Guitars chime, harmonies stack, and the rhythm sectionkeeps everything moving forward. Their live shows are sweaty, unpolished and electric-proof that pop can hit hard and still feel personal.
Now, The Stamps return with their shimmering take on The Stone Roses’ “She Bangs The Drums,”produced by Alex Burnett (Thelma Plum, Hockey Dad). It is the first release from their forthcoming EP of the same name, a collection of re-imagined songs paying homage to some of their favourite artists including Iggy Pop, Cigarettes After Sex, Nirvana and The Velvet Underground.
The band-Sofia, Rubina and Scarlett (all 22)-recorded the EP live together only weeks ago, capturing the raw spirit of three close friends rediscovering the thrill of playing as a unit. After a series of more introspective releases, She Bangs The Drums signals a new chapter built around rhythm, movement and fun-a snapshot of a young trio distilling their influencesinto a sound that feels effortlessly their own. The EP arrives 6 February 2026 via LONGLIFE / Community Music, ahead of the band’s first run of UK and European shows followinga string of sold-out Australian dates.
What ties it all together is the way they work: three friends in a room, chasing a feeling untilit becomes a song. No theatrics, no overthinking-justmelody, honesty and instinct.
