More Info

Powerful jazz and big-band funk from the 16-strong One World Jazz Orchestra, playing music by Charles Mingus, Herbie Hancock, Maria Schneider, Bob Mintzer, Paul Busby, Radiohead and more, including original compositions by musical director Terry Pack.

The One World Jazz Orchestra has its origins as the Paul Busby Big Band, a renowned local big band devoted to playing the original compositions of Paul, the band leader and pianist. When Paul retired from music the band was relaunched as the One World Jazz Orchestra, taking its name from Paul’s One World Jazz Suite.  Whilst Paul Busby’s compositions are still an important part of the band’s repertoire, at the Brunswick you can also expect to hear a wide range of contemporary jazz from other composers.

The One World Jazz Orchestra is directed by renowned bassist, composer and bandleader Terry Pack.
