The Captain’s Beard are a pirate folk rock group from Brighton, (the drinking town with a fishing problem.) Their tunes are a mix of the Pogues meet Tenacious D. Expect songs about beards and inappropriate mermaids.
Their version of "John Kanakanaka" has three million streams on Spotify and will be featuring in the movie "Operation Taco Garys."
Their last two albums "Same Ship Different Day" and "Completely Tankard" garner tens of thousands of listens every month on streaming platforms.
They have also won the "best album of 2024" award at the Celtcast awards in the Netherlands for their third album "Cannonballs Deep."
