Samantics and Nick Parker take their blossoming relationship to third base.

Sam and Nick stumbled across each other while playing at various festivals around the UK and quickly realised there was a certain chemistry. Whatever the opposite of a diss track is, Sam wrote one for Nick and, of course, Nick wrote one for Sam in return, thus creating the most polite and respectful feud in hip-hop/folk history.

Not content with merely seeing each other once or twice a year at festivals, the two of them decided to take whatever it was they had out on the road.

Although musically the two are worlds apart - Sam with loops, bloops, and a couple of ukes, and Nick with a plank, some strings and a couple of chords - lyrically they seem to be eating from the same trough. While the lyrics are often light-hearted, regularly observational and nearly always relatable, neither Sam nor Nick are afraid to take a little time-out from the levity to touch on the more serious aspects of life. They are also very passionate about the bars they’re spitting/lines they’re singing, and their hearts are never far from their sleeves.

Both Sam and Nick are also rather good at being self-effacing. In fact, if that was an Olympic sport neither of them would even think they’re good enough to enter.

With that in mind, the running order on the night will inevitably be quite difficult to sort out.  They’ll probably decide it with a game of Connect 4.  Mind you, even then they’ll have to work out who goes first.

Also joining the bill is the quite glorious Tabitha Wild.
