Brighton beach boys celebrate the 50th anniversary of Paul McCartney’s album ‘Band on the run’.
After the Beatles disbanded, Paul McCartney debuted as a solo artist with the 1970 album McCartney and went on to form the band Wings with his wife, Linda, and Denny Laine of The Moody Blues. Under McCartney's leadership, Wings became one of the most successful bands of the 1970s. He wrote or co-wrote their US or UK number-one hits, such as "My Love", "Band on the Run", "Listen to What the Man Said", "Silly Love Songs", and "Mull of Kintyre".
Band on the Run (1973) is the third studio album. With two hit singles, this was the first critical success for McCartney Post-Beatles, and it remains McCartney’s most successful album from this period.
The evening will feature the songs from the album and a section of his other hits and favourites from 1970 onwards.
