The Sussex Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of trombonist Mark Bassey, offer you a relaxed evening of wonderful music. The SJO play swing, latin, and blues, as well as more contemporary styles - an eclectic mix of compositions and arrangements.
The repertoire is pretty unique, predominantly from British writers, including pieces by Ian Hamer (founder of the band in 1986), Paul Busby (former MD), Tubby Hayes and Kenny Wheeler, plus original compositions and arrangements from within the band.
