Singing our Stories – a concert for International Women’s Day

Join us for an afternoon of music and history for International Women’s Day with local favourites Aneesa Chaudhry and Jane Traies.

Singer, voice coach and choirs' director Aneesa needs no introduction to Brighton audiences.

Expect all kinds of music, from jazz to classical to pop, as she brings you a wonderful selection of songs sung by legendary women performers of the past.

Historian and story-teller Jane is known for her life history work with marginalised women. She will be uncovering some of the unexpected stories of courage, resilience and female friendship which lie behind the songs.

Aneesa and Jane share a passion for ‘giving voice to the voiceless.’ This is the first time they have worked together – it may not be the last!
