It started as something to do online from a bedroom during lockdown, To a proper gig monthly gig night for people who love music and want to experience it live, This months  line up …

Joy Machines.

Joy Machines is Dave OC (guitar/vocals) and Max Rutter (vocals) who hit on the idea of starting a band through a desire to create music that incorporates the arrangements of traditional songwriting with the dynamics of dance music.

After months of grafting and crafting the songs in a converted garage, it was after they debuted their set in early 2024 and caused a mini-rave in a blues rock pub that they realised there was something positive and unique in the Joy Machines mission.

The band now have a hefty set of banging tunes which cover many bases, styles and genres featuring breaks, samples, grungy guitars, trancy guitars, vocal harmonies, bosh points and cathartic drops. The set gets Dave and Max going and it gets their crowd going.

Joy Machines’ debut single Dark Sparks is now out in the world. With a heady mix of breakbeat, grunge, techno and a pinch of shoegaze, it thumps and it strides, it grooves and it glides.

Boots Mcmahon’s Fast Thieves Club.

Playing Boots self penned originals filled with hooks about characters and stories

in his life, Boots new band will be playing material from his 2023 EP Story Time, as well as recently released singles.

Suzanne Gailey.

Suzanne is a singer songwriter based in Brighton, UK. Her songs lean towards social commentary and personal observation and are influenced by many musical genres but mainly Americana, Folk and Folk Punk.A classically trained musician from a young age Suzanne studied the piano until rock and punk became too much of a distraction! She has studied vocal technique at The Institute of Contemporary Music in London and sang for many years in the London based Morris Folk Choir. During this time she also sang backing vocals in a gypsy band led by singer songwriter Elena Dana. Following a move to Brighton Suzanne, along with two friends, created and performed for a short time in the avant garde vocal group WAWM. Suzanne has been writing songs for a number of years and as a solo artist currently mainly performs with an acoustic guitar. She is also the bass player and backing vocalist for post punk/alt rock/art rock band Danger of Death...

The James McCauley Band.

The James McCauley Band consists of 3 musicians , who create a big sound and have caused an even bigger stir on the Brighton Live circuit already.

Adam McKee from Wellington, New Zealand and Nick Sullivan from Windsor, England, join forces with the Brighton Singer Songwriter, as The James McCauley Band begin their journey, from the End of The World.

The band released their first single, End of the World in July 2024, followed by I Shouldn't Love You (but I do) on 26th September 2024.

In December 2024 they released the revamped version of AMERIKAY.

The band's first single of 2025 is PAINT DROPS.

This comes after continuous gig and festival appearances in their first year together.

Continuing the theme from James’s solo efforts, touching on Irish immigration, joy, hurt, loss, and the journey for the soulful escape, you sense that this is the beginning of a band who don’t want to stop performing.

Brighton Singer Songwriter James McCauley released his first 3 track EP on St Patricks Day 2022.

James released 2 more songs in July 2022, ELVIS & AMERIKAY. He then followed these up in September 2022 with his song LONDON, where he has expanded his sound.

Having played Lead Guitar over the years with both Punk & Post Punk bands on the Brighton Live Music scene, (Red Cloud/Lockdown/Trash Bomb/Candy Violet) James is now focused on his solo work, and specifically the James McCauley Band
