More Info

Pau is the number 1 drummer in Mile Oak! (Or number 2 at least.) He is also the drummer in all of the bands playing at Paul Fest, so this is a drumming marathon for him. He was a carer for his and Jimmy’s (Last of the Lovely Days) mum, Ruth, until recently and received a lot of help from The

Martlets. 100% the money from tickets for Paul Fest will go to The Martlets. We will also be collecting cash on the day and spreading information about our Just Giving page.

So, come and have a brilliant afternoon of the best local bands, hear the top drummer from Mile Oak (definitely top 3), and donate some money to a great cause. What more could you want?

Last of the Lovely Days

Brighton, indie-poppers The Last of the Lovely Days are delighted to be involved with Paul Fest in aid of The Martletts.

Still riding high after the release of their highly regarded debut album ‘No Public House Talk’ (John Clarkson at PENNYBLACK’S album of the year 2025) The Last of the Lovely Days, will be playing songs from the album, some new material and as ever some choice covers.

Expect to hear catchy, melodic songs with sharp lyrics and jangly guitars and of course a pounding rhythm section - sparkly guitar pop perfect for a summer afternoon!

Johnny Fallen

Hot on the heels of their last successful gig at The Brunswick, Johnny Fallen are excited to be back as part of Paul Fest celebrating the genius of their drummer and raising some cash for such a good cause as The Martlets.

They play melodic indie pop rock. With pounding drums, throbbing bass, sweeping guitars and bleeping synths they play self-penned songs and tales of modern life in their home city of Brighton & Hove.
