My Mirror Is A Portal - Spider EP Launch Gig

Loud and alternative and never what you expect, up-and-coming Brighton artist Spider and her band are holding a launch party for her new EP 'My Mirror Is A Portal' and you've been invited!

Come join us for a night of music diving from Rock Paper Scissors' experimental art-pop, Rage Therapy's hard rock/grunge, to headliner Spider's post-punk, alternative and goth rock. Trust me, you won't get bored.

Rock-Paper-Scissors:

Rock Paper Scissors are a 4 piece alternative rock outfit hailing from Brighton, UK. The line-up is comprised of: Achilles (lead vocals, guitar), Raf (lead guitar, backing vox), Charlie (bass), Joey (drums). 

The band’s music is characterised by an ethos of raw experimentalism, coupled with art-pop sensibility. Their influences range from Sonic Youth, Radiohead, Slowdive and the Pixies, to modern acts such as Geese and Black Country, New Road.

Currently, their debut EP is in production, which will see release in due time.

Rage Therapy:

Rage Therapy are a hard rock/ grunge band from West Sussex. Their sound consists of heavily overdriven guitars, melodic harmonies and emotional lyrics and energy. 

Since forming in late 2024, they’ve played many live shows mainly around the Sussex coast area and have released an EP, live covers EP and a live album of originals. Their live shows raw intensity instantly draws people to their songs, enabling them to feel a connection to the music. 

They’re continuing to gig into 2026 and will be releasing new music very soon!

Spider:

The Artist identity Spider, brought to life by 17 year old, Brighton local musician Meadow Veasey, whose alternative rock music is entangled with gothic and romantic influences.

They self produce all their songs as well as devising their own lyrics and melodies. She uses her synesthesia and connection to sound to create music enchanted with the rain, stifling Augusts and melancholy Decembers.

She has been featured on local and online radio and has a discography including multiple albums, having begun her music career at 14 and releasing music since.

The whole band was formed (with the addition of of session musicians: Oscar Clarke and Lily Kershaw) summer of 2025 and is active in the Brighton music scene; playing every grassroots venue they can conquer. They intend to invade the Brighton alternative scene with music strange enough you've definitely never heard anything like it before.
