More Info

The Jazz Jamboree Orchestra (JJO) is a Sussex based amateur jazz ensemble directed by trombonist Mark Bassey. It comprises 25-30 musicians - brass, saxes, woodwind, rhythm section and vocalists. The orchestra play a delightful mix of jazz and popular music (from Duke Ellington and Cole Porter to Simon and Garfunkel, and Freddie Mercury) plus some original compositions - swing, latin, funky, rocky.

The arrangements are by Mark and other members of the group. The sound of the full orchestra is magnificent, full of warmth and vitality. Come on down to the jamboree ...
