More Info
3 acoustic acts in the intimate setting of the Brunswick Basement bar, Brighton artist/producer/acclaimed engineer Max Gilkes plays an acoustic set with a stripped down band brimming with vocal harmonies and playing arrangements of songs from the last 2 albums - Walk In This Direction (4 stars Uncut Mag) and 'Machines' (set for release later this year). Max has worked with the great and the good of the music world for 25 plus years, garnering platinum discs, Grammy nominations and various other accolades in his various roles. His band will feature Jevon Beaumont on bass (Moloko, Blue States, Arthur Brown) and Steve Allsworth on guitar (Ronan Keating, Mica Paris).
Long time friend and collaborator Joanne Louise Parker brings her exquisite voice to Brighton once more, with a set of self penned songs and possibly some entertaining covers! Joanne has toured extensively on the folk/roots scene opening for the likes of Eliza Carthy, and Gretchen Peters with her blues laced Joni-esque style.
Jodie Elms is an alt-folk singer-songwriter from The New Forest. Her story-telling lyrics weave relatable tales, with a lilting soprano voice, Irish Bouzouki, & Shruti-box accompaniment. Fans of Kate Bush will love this.
