Down the Lanes is so excited to announce that Jordi Alkema will be playing at The

Brunswick on Friday the 17th of January! Jordi blew us away the last time out so we had

to get him back. Prepare yourselves for a stripped back night of incredible acoustic

performances.

Supporting Jordi will be Izzii Grace and Weaver Line, two phenomenal artists who will

round out this unmissable night of music. For only £5 this is the perfect way to spend a

Friday night in January.

A Brighton native, Jordi Alkema has been performing across his home city for over a

decade. After a spell fronting local band, Yancy Dangerfield, Jordi embarked on a solo

project that allowed his strength as a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist to truly

shine. Jordi takes a darker turn on his latest release, moving away from the ambient

style he had previously been writing.

Izzii Grace is a nonbinary artists taking influence from folk, rnb and indie pop!! They use

their chaotic energy and bubbly personality in every song and performance. Starting as

a self-produced electropop artist and taking their sound to a new level with their band.

They write songs that express their journey with mental health, personal experiences

and wildly unpredictable love life.

Weaver Line is for dreamers in danger of forgetting the magic of life. Through their

songs, they hope to reignite the adventurous spirit, while encouraging a full embrace of

the real world. Benjamin met Sally randomly on summer solstice at a bus stop in

Dalston, East London, but they’d both had paranormal experiences suggesting they

would meet. Sally is American, Ben is English, and they draw on both Americana as well

as English pop and rock to create their sound. Inspired by Nick Drake’s Five Leaves Left,

Nico’s Chelsea Girl and John Cale’s Paris 1919, they wanted to start a band that had

something of the sound in these kinds of albums.
