Recognised as one of the best singers and songwriters in the business, with a voice to die for and showmanship unequalled, John has been a hired gun for many top acts.  He has also written many successful songs for, amongst others, members of The Rolling Stones, Sir Cliff Richard, and Status Quo.

His first major recording contract was with The Dodgers, a band John formed with the remnants of Badfinger in the late

70s. He joined The Average White Band as lead vocalist and co- writer in 1986. After leaving AWB in the 90’s he recorded his first solo album for legacy records followed by extensive European tours.

Then came “Daddy Sang the Blues”- an album heaped with critical acclaim.
