A celebration of music and poetry and the songs of Leonard Cohen.

Join poet/singer-songwriter Gabriel Moreno and singer-songwriter Jason McNiff for a night of music and lyrics as they celebrate the 90th birthday year of the great Leonard Cohen.

McNiff and Moreno will be accompanied by the Brothers of Mercy: Richard Moore on violin, Matt Armstrong on double bass and Alice Jelaska on clarinet. The band will perform a selection of compelling Cohen classics plus a series of their own songs which pay tribute to Cohen’s magical formula of merging poetry and music. Since their inaugural show at the Stables theatre last year, Waiting for the Miracle has played sold out across the UK, wowing crowds with the joy and passion they bring to the music.

Gabriel Moreno is a Gibraltarian poet and singer songwriter, resident in London. He has published numerous poetry books as well as four critically acclaimed albums. ‘An offshoot of Neil Diamond and Leonard Cohen’ Cerys Mathews, BBC 6 music.

Jason McNiff has made 8 albums of country tinged folk music. He has been described by Mojo as ‘One of the UK’s best-kept secrets’ and by Janice Long on Radio 2 as an ‘Immense talent’.
