Tzim Tzum presents:  Hill Collective - Improvisation to Field Recordings

Back for their first show this year, Hill Collective will be delivering their usual flavour of experimental jazz, followed by free improvisation informed by field recordings.

"Walking around the city you can hear all kinds of wondrous things, engines revving, arguments, proposals, natural noises etc. As people we are influenced by everything around us and in turn act out the stimuli we are exposed to. As artists, there becomes a much clearer connection between input and output. By improvising to a collection a recordings from the street and the home we hope to highlight the rhythms and melodies of life."

Hill Collective is one of the only Brighton jazz groups doing something new and interesting - somewhere between Bebop, Spiritual jazz and avant-garde, they have their own way of exploring the mysteries of music. Something ubiquitous yet insightful in it's idiosyncrasy. Hill Collective are messengers of expression, introspection and balance.
