Start the year off right with Hill Collective at The Brunswick with support from Akin Soul! As always Hill Collective will be giving two sets - one of composed material and the second an exploration of an improvisational concept to be revealed closer to the show!

Hill Collective is a jazz ensemble based in Brighton, UK. Led by saxophonist and composer Pete Piskov, the group offers a fresh musical attitude, employing modern improvisation techniques and nuanced compositions – a soulful, avant-garde addition to the bustling UK jazz landscape.

Born in Dallas, Texas, Akin Soul is a jazz and soul singer, multi-instrumentalist & songwriter from South East London who plays keys, guitar and trombone. Raised on a diet of Marvin Gaye, Stevie, Quincy, Lalah & Donny Hathaway, Amy & Corinne Bailey Rae... In 2018 Akin founded the 12 piece band - Akin Soul & The Soul Tribe who have gone on to perform across London at Glastonbury, We Out Here Festival, Brainchild Festival, Love Supreme, All Points East, Brainchild, Great Escape.
