More Info

A social impact documentary that explores the serious issue of body loathing, inspiring us to change the way we feel about ourselves.

This documentary will change your view on your body, inspiring you to Embrace it and take care of it as it is. Released in 2016, this film is still extremely relevant, relatable, highly engaging – but above all life changing.

Nominated for the Documentary Australia Foundation Award for Best Documentary, Embrace has been seen by millions of people across the world and has created a ripple of positive change.

I am Claudine, a body image coach working predominantly with girls and women who want to learn to accept themselves and be happy and healthy in the body they have. The film Embrace was the catalyst for my life changing journey with my own body image, going from hating it and permanently trying to shrink it, to accepting it fully and in the process, accepting myself. I have hosted several screenings of Embrace and seen the impact it has on many others, as it did on me.

I am local to Brighton & Hove and I sea swim all year round, which has also been a huge part of my body image journey, helping me appreciate what I can do more than how I look. I can't wait to share my story along with this incredibly inspirational film. And I'd love to you join me.

Please note, it contains themes of eating disorders, body dysmorphia, fatphobia and diet culture, as well as footage of plastic surgery and female body parts. All genders are very welcome and the age guide for the film is 12+. The creators of the film have just finished making an Embrace Kids documentary which I will be screening as soon as it is released in the UK.
