An evening of left field rock music from three of Brighton's most intriguing emerging bands

Design Fault are an art rock band formed in Bournemouth in January 2025, now residing in Brighton. Having played many shows in their short life so far, the trio have crafted a distinctive sound that draws from noise rock, jazz fusion, funk and krautrock. Their sound paired with their relentless on-stage antics and energy make for unforgettable live performances.

VCSB is an alternative/synth-pop duo from Brighton, UK, composed of Saul Bazley (vocals/production) and Tris Houseman (guitar/production).

We’ve been friends since school and have been running an independent label together, called Permalink, since 2023, while also producing music in our respective diy home studios since we were teenagers.

We share a love of all kinds of strange and unique pop music and have always sent each other whatever weird tracks we find lying around. We’re super into Cabaret Voltaire, Fad Gadget, Talking Heads, The Cure, and really any synth-pop from around ’79 to the mid-’80s, as well as lo-fi bedroom stuff like R. Stevie Moore and Cleaners from Venus.

Our main aim is to make pop music with a strong sense of identity—playful, stylistically interesting, yet still really catchy.
