Chaps and Straps is Brighton’s new queer line dancing night — here to bring you good music, good moves, and a dancefloor that feels like home. Hosted by Drag King @smallwillynelson, you’ll learn a series of easy, feel-good line dances set to classic and modern country tracks. After that we will dance the night away with tunes from DJ Moova.

Dress Code: CUNTRY

Dress up if you feel like it — think cowboy hats, denim, leather, glitter — or just come as you are. Please wear what makes you feel comfortable.

We’re in the main venue at The Brunswick, just next to the main bar. The space is step-free throughout the ground floor and includes an accessible toilet. Most of the event is standing, but there’s limited seating — let us know if you'd like to reserve a spot. You’re also welcome to take breaks in the main bar area at any time.

This event is created by and for LGBTQIA+ people. We especially want to welcome Trans, Intersex, and Non-Binary siblings— your presence is valued and celebrated here. Our dances are taught with options to suit different gender expressions and designed to help you to connect with your body with joy. 

We aim to make the night as accessible as possible. If you have access needs or want to talk through the choreography ahead of time, feel free to message us on @chapsandstraps.
