Bea Everett celebrates the release of her sophomore album, ‘Landmark’ following the release of her debut album, ‘Russian Doll’ in 2020. ‘Landmark’ is a sonic level up from Bea’s previous work, which has been largely focused on her solo performance. Working with some of Brighton’s finest musicians and composers, Bea has created a soundscape to elevate and accompany the unique, yet classic sound that she has established over her solo career. For this gig she will be accompanied by Andrew Stuart-Buttle (violin, mandolin, guitar, synth), Ed Martin (bass, guitar, synth), Alfie Weedon (double bass) and Fred Hills (drums). "Bea Everett’s brand new offering, ‘Landmark’, showcases a deep and mature songwriting talent. Melancholy melodies interweave arrangements complimented by strings, percussion, piano and harmonies that are sometimes haunting, sometimes uplifting but always finely and thoughtfully crafted. Contemporary production preserves the timeless nature of the tracks and defines a new era for Bea that is strong and refreshing.” (Darren Hougham, Full Circle Solar Stage.) This gig will follow Bea’s journey from stripped back, raw solo performance, to her latest updated, invigorated sound as you’ll be treated to a preview of the unreleased album, due for full release in September 2022. Support from one of Brighton’s favourite songwriters, Michael Baker. “The simplest of things can be most effective. Michael’s music is sparse, skeletal yet often deeply moving” – Mahogany.
