An evening of intimate folk and blues songwriting from two of Brighton's most compelling emerging voices.
Pierce Joyce and Sam Webb come together for a special double bill at the Brunswick, delivering songs and stories linked by thoughtful lyricism and intimate acoustic performances. Expect two distinct approaches to modern folk songwriting - Joyce's quiet, introspective songs paired with Webb's earthy blend of folk, blues and rock.
Hailing from the foot of the Blackstairs Mountains in Carlow, Ireland, Pierce Joyce delivers music that is at once introspective, wryly humorous, and quietly powerful. His songs explore vulnerability, self-doubt, and fleeting moments of joy, blending the intimacy of early Leonard Cohen and Blaze Foley with themes reminiscent of fellow Irish writers W.B. Yeats and James Joyce.
Sam Webb is a Northern blues rock artist singing about special folk. Join us as he launches his next single “Dirty Strings”.
