Join Canada's Kyla Tilley for an intimate evening of song, storytelling, and vibrant guitar playing as she brings her unique style of prog-folk to Brighton & Hove.  Folkstone's Jim Hapax, and Brighton's Roger Stevens will round out the evening with their eccentric and eclectic musical sounds.

Kyla Tilley

Kyla Tilley is a Canadian singer-songwriter known for her intimate and emotionally turbulent live performances, her gymnastic guitar playing, and her fabulous shoe collection.

Using whatever words she likes, Kyla constructs tales true and tall of fantastic exploits, mundane tasks, and moderate misadventure which she delivers with a mix of vocal fusillades, chaotic finger-picking, and kaleidoscopic rhythms, punctuated with scintillating melodies and moments of serenity.

Kyla's latest EP 'Nature' draws inspiration from the rugged beauty of the Newfoundland landscape which she calls home, and from the creatures that inhabit it.

Roger Stevens

Singer-songwriter Roger Stevens delivers an eclectic mix of thoughtful lyrics, good melodies and more than a dash of quirky humour, in an example of contemporary folk at its best. “Roger tackles the weird stuff that doesn’t get into the charts anymore… a world where eccentrics come out to play.” Boff Whalley R2 Magazine

Jim Hapax

Jim’s musical journey is a testament to his eclectic tastes and influences, embracing the cacophony of noise-rock, the earthiness of neo-folk, the transcendence of drone, and the complexity of mathcore. His lyrics traverse the mundane to the mystical, offering glimpses into the human experience and the quest for enlightenment.
