Celebrating the tenth anniversary of David Bowie's death, the Brighton Beach Boys return to The Brunswick after their sell out gigs, to perform Aladdin Sane.
Aladdin Sane, was described by Bowie himself as simply "Ziggy goes to America". Most of the tracks were observations he composed on the road, drawing on the The Who and The Rolling Stones, forging a harder edged rock sound. ‘The Jean Genie’ and ‘Drive-in Saturday’ were the hits, ‘Time’ and ‘Lady Grinning Soul’ were his experiments, ‘Watch that Man’ and ‘Panic in Detroit’ show the way forward towards ‘Young Americans’ and beyond.
The album cover is one of Bowies most iconic images- with the lightning bolt painted on his face. This is a classic Bowie album, recreated in all its intricate detail by The Brighton Beach Boys, (Glen Richardson, Stephen Wrigley, Jono Harrison, Dave Barnard, Vinnie Lammi and Charlotte Glasson.) 2nd half of the show will be our favourite Bowie hits.
